Will you get me?

You might say I’m black – You might say I’m white
You might think I’m wrong and wonder if I’m right

You may call me male but there’s lipstick in my face
You tried to hem me in and therefore fell from grace

You might claim I’m soft but don’t you think I’m tough
Believe me there will be proof for both enough

You could see a boy, still you could see a man
Aren’t you unspoilt but doubtful if you can?

Once you called me plain and now you call me odd
You could be the one who thinks that I am God

Will you get me?
